A Waterside Sanctuary

Just a 3½ hour drive north of Perth, and located on one of Western Australia’s most beautiful stretches of coastline, lies the picturesque twin townsites of Dongara and Port Denison.

Here a little piece of paradise is being created.

Set in a region of immense natural beauty, The Retreat at Dongara is nestled between the Indian Ocean and the Irwin River. A more idyllic location would be hard to conceive.

The development is close to the established townships which are renowned for their relaxed lifestyle, beautiful sandy beaches and many recreational activities.

Also known to many as the ‘wildflower region’, this area has wondrous seasonal displays of natural plant species.

The Retreat is a landmark, not only for its well-documented historic links to the Mid-West, but also for its highly sought-after new homesites.

A magnificent feature of The Retreat will be the preserved former retreat house of New Norcia’s Benedictine monks.  Originally constructed in 1865 as a flour mill, the building later became a private residence known as Denison House and in 1944 it became the property of the Benedictine Community.

Buying at The Retreat provides the best of all worlds. City life at Geraldton is easily accessible, Perth is around 360 kms down the Brand Highway, and a major road leads directly to the coast at Port Denison.
