In addition to the range of project management, sales and marketing staff employed by most land developers, LWP Property Group also retains the services of a number of specialist staff & consultants.
These specialists work across all projects and form part of the multi-disciplinary project teams. They bring a unique perspective to the land development process.
Heather Awcock, Group Sustainability Manager
Heather’s role is to ensure that LWP’s project teams are aware of the latest innovations and opportunities to create enduring land developments.
An expert in sustainability, Heather actively seeks out new research, statistics and product innovations which can inform and support the company’s journey towards a more sustainable future.
Yonna Sunderland, Community Development Manager
Yonna’s job is to make sure that LWP continues to go
beyond the plan – and creates sustainable opportunities for our customers to live, work, and play in the communities we develop.
LWP has a unique approach to community development, particularly in our focus of creating an authentic sense of place and cultural identity.
Our process involves four main elements to ensure the foundation of long-term community health and prosperity:
- Housing diversity (which encourages a broad mix of people)
- Facilities and services coordinated with population growth
- Development of attributes which help define and bind the community
- Creation of a ‘well-being economy’
The well-being economy encompasses creating local employment, avenues for lifelong education, a focus on families, promotion of healthy lifestyles, sustaining the environment, and an emphasis on social capital. Fostering arts and culture in new communities is also a vital factor in achieving a well-being economy.
Phillipa O’Brien, Cultural Advisor, Consultant
In a first for a land developer, LWP appointed Philippa O’Brien as its Cultural Advisor, initially commissioning her to work with the Ellenbrook planning and design team.
The result of this partnership can be seen throughout Ellenbrook with beautiful sculptures symbolising the heritage of the region, the villages situated there now, and the future of Ellenbrook as a place.
This Art plus Landscape concept is unique to LWP and fosters a strong sense of place that is immediately evident.
