Public Art

In a first for a land developer, LWP appointed a Cultural Consultant to work with the planning and design team.

The result of this partnership can be seen throughout Ellenbrook, with beautiful sculptures and other artworks symbolising the heritage of the region in the villages and the future of Ellenbrook as a place.

This art plus landscape concept is unique to Ellenbrook and fosters a strong sense of place that is immediately evident.  Art has a social role even when the audience is not aware of its impact.  In the best tradition of storytelling, art encourages memories, conjures images, teaches history, clarifies the present and provokes ideas while being ornamental and sometimes structural.

Art and culture form an important and integral component of LWP’s development process.
